Dr. Kenneth K.K. Wang MBE MBBS

Chairman

Dr. Kenneth K. K. Wang, MBE, is the late founder of Alvanon and a world-renowned expert in the apparel industry. Dr. Wang founded the company in 2001 and has guided its progression into the global leader in fit solutions and efficient supply chain management for the apparel market. His work has been recognized globally, and was named a Member of the British Empire in 1996 by Queen Elizabeth II. Dr. Wang has held positions in numerous educational institutions, is currently Chairman of the Clothing Industry Training Authority and a council member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is active in trade associations and is Vice Chairman of the HK Garment Manufacturer's Association and a Textile Council member. In community work, he acts as Vice Chairman of Project Concern, a nonprofit organization for medical and dental care in Hong Kong. Dr. Wang's expertise in the apparel industry has been utilized by the Hong Kong government where he has held the positions of Chairman of Clothing Technology Demonstration Centre and Chairman of Apparel and Textile Quick Response Centre, among others.

Dr. Wang graduated with an MBBS from the Guy's Hospital Medical School in London in 1973. From there, he returned to Hong Kong in 1974 to run his family's garment manufacturing operation. The company, Sterling Products Ltd, is a multi-national children's wear company, at which he currently holds the position of Managing Director.

Janice Wang

Chief Executive Officer

Janice Wang joined Alvanon in 2002 as Chief Executive Officer. Under her stewardship, the company has expanded exponentially into the global size and fit expert for the apparel industry. Her drive, vision and business prowess have attracted top-tier, seasoned experts to the company, which has in turn attracted a client base made up of the largest retailers and manufacturers in the industry. Janice is the visionary and driver of Alvanon, currently leading the company's transition from a mannequin-focused company to a full-service, integrated offering that provides a holistic approach to solve the misperceptions in fit.

Janice was previously employed by Chase Manhattan Bank, Sterling Products, Texwatch Inc., and industry giant Li and Fung Limited. In 2006, she was short listed in the UK for both the Businesswoman of the Year Award and the Woman of the Future Award. Janice graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York with a double degree in Economics and East Asian Studies.

Jason Wang

Chief Operation Officer

Jason Wang oversees global operations for Alvanon, and his ability to translate raw data into exact body shape replicas for a client's target market has been a main driving force behind Alvanon's success. As the chief architect in the evolution of Alvanon, Jason is playing an integral role in transitioning the focus of Alvanon from a products and services company to becoming the fit authority for the apparel industry. By leveraging his expertise in applications and technology, Jason was able to establish the processes and methodology for the development of Alvanon's virtual avatars and AlvaForms. Jason is regarded as one of the world's leading experts in body shape analysis and 3D avatar creation.

Jason graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, specializing in Management Information Systems.

Ed Gribbin

President

Edward A. Gribbin was promoted to President, Alvanon, Inc. effective January 1, 2011. In this role, Ed will lead the Alvanon teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia as they continue to help fashion industry clients grow their businesses profitably and efficiently. Ed is widely recognised throughout the apparel industry as the world’s leading authority on sizing and fit and will continue to represent Alvanon at conferences and events around the globe, serving numerous global organizations dedicated to the success of the retail, apparel and textile sectors.

Ed joined Alvanon in 2006 as President of AlvaInsight, Alvanon’s strategic consulting division, developing a team of experts who, through extensive research and data analysis, help clients develop the most effective sizing and fit strategies and product development processes. Ed has over thirty years of apparel industry experience. Prior to Alvanon, Ed served as President of Intellifit Corporation, where he co-invented the revolutionary Intellifit Body Scanner and oversaw the collection of over 120,000 consumer body scans. As Senior Vice President at Angelica Corporation, Ed managed sales, marketing, design and production for one of the largest corporate-wear companies in the US. Before Angelica, Ed co-founded Boathouse Sports, one of the largest specialty athletic manufacturers in the US today.

Ed Gribbin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from St. Joseph’s University and is a member of The Fashion Group International, The International Apparel Federation, the Product Innovation Council of the American Association of Apparel and Footwear, the Fashion & Apparel Studies Advisory Board of the University of Delaware, the International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives, The Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, and ASTM International. Ed was a four-time member of the US National Rowing team, a World Championship medalist, and ten-time US Rowing National Champion. Ed resides in Merion Station, Pennsylvania with his wife, Georgianne, and their daughter Bridget.

 

Joe Fittipaldi

Chief Financial Officer

Joe Fittipaldi specializes in retail and imports, joins Alvanon with a strong background in accounting, operations and implementation of control procedures. Joe's responsibilities include setting up the strategic corporate finance agenda for Alvanon's global operations.

Joe previously served as Vice President, Finance for the Lifestyle Design Group, a wholesale apparel division of Kellwood Company. Prior to that, Joe capped a 15 year career at the May Merchandising Company, May's Private label Import Division.
