AlvaSpec offers various tactical services, and we will work with you to choose the best solution for your needs.

Form Validation:

Examination of existing fit mannequin (or fit model) to determine how closely measurements and shapes match your brand's stated target customer demographic. If applicable, make recommendations for improvement.

Body Shape Analysis

Review of your current and target customer demographic and compare findings to the AlvaSpec database. Presentation of total customer distribution over range of upper and lower body shapes. Make conclusions and recommendations on primary and secondary shapes for your target population.

Product Fit Assessment:

Analysis of a specific brand product category (e.g., jeans), including fit specifications and grade rules, to determine how well the product fits target customers; what percentage of target customers can wear the product; and what changes should be considered to improve fit and sell-through.

Measurement Study:

Mean body measurement tables and charts for a specific target demographic, listing 27 to 34 key points of measurement, sorted by bust, and by waist or hip, in 1" increments. Includes standard deviations, graded body measurement chart and natural body grade rules.

Core Body Development:

Creation of proprietary measurement profile from the AlvaSpec database; presentation of results and AlvaSpec recommendations; final brand approval of measurements to be released for AlvaForm development. Follow-on consultation as needed through delivery of approved reference form.

Grade Rules Development:

Evaluation of current product line and redefinition of grade rule guidelines for tops and bottoms.
