GERMANY 16 April 2013: The world’s leading apparel sizing and fit expert, Alvanon, in collaboration with Germany’s most prestigious and respected independent research and testing institution, the Hohenstein Institute, have developed and launched the ‘AlvaForm Hohenstein Series’, a new range of technical fit mannequins that will enable garment suppliers to make better fitting clothes for consumers in Germany and across Northern and Eastern Europe.  The AlvaForm Hohenstein Series is based on a new ‘de facto’ optimum fit standard derived from the compilation and analysis of 3D body scan measurements and health data from over 25,000 men and women aged between 30 to 55 in Germany and Northern/Eastern Europe.   The accuracy of the new AlvaForm Hohenstein Series will significantly improve the fit experience for consumers and will boost conversion and sell-through rates for retailers, while reducing returns and increasing consumer brand loyalty.  Adopting the new standard will also result in more consistent and efficient production and execution of fit for brands and retailers in their factories and throughout their global supply chains.
